Too Smart for His Own Good

Forrest is constantly surprising me, but the other night he really impressed me. As I've said before, Forrest has poor sleeping habits. He still drinks "little boy milk" (out of a sippy cup) at bedtime and at least once in the middle of the night. We are trying to stop this bad habit, though. The other night we were all laying in bed trying to go to sleep and Forrest wanted more milk. I told him no, that he'd had enough and he needed to go to sleep. He cried for a bit, but then rolled over and I thought he had fallen asleep. Then, about 10 minutes later, he said he needed his monkey, and it seemed to be an emergency. Being exhausted, I thought I would just get it for him so maybe we could go to sleep. As soon as I was out of the way, Forrest climbed over to the night stand to get his "little boy milk". What a stinker! He had obviously thought long and hard about how he could get me out of the way so he could get his milk!
